What port should I use?

When choosing the port for your media server you must select the UPnP port for that media server assigned on your computer.

Please keep in mind that this port is usually different than the external web port provided by some Media Server.

Below is a list of popular Media Server’s and their default UPnP ports.

JRiver
Default Port: 52100

Kodi (Formerly XBMC)
Default Port: 1381

MediaTomb
Default Port: 50500

Play On
Default Port: 52478

Plex
Default Port: 32469

PS3 Media Server
Default Port:5001

Serviio
Default Port: 8895

  • Note: You must connect to Serviio locally before you can attempt to connect externally

Subsonic
Default Port: 52963

  • Note: You must connect to Subsonic¬†locally before you can attempt to connect externally

Synology
Default Port: 1900

Twonky
Default Port: 9000

Windows Media Connect
Default Port: Please look up instructions on determining port, as it varies
